Theoretically media studies and culturalrnstudies are a study conducted to observe the patterns ofrncultural change in society that is influenced by the mediarnin which the media takes an important role in the newrnforms of culture construction. There are two theories thatrnare used to analyze the study, Plural theory and Marxistrntheory. Those theories give the difference roles of mediarnin the class structure context. Plural theory prioritizesrnmedia independence in providing information. Contraryrnto Marxist theory that is more dependent on providing therninformation in accordance with the desires and interestsrnof the elite. For Marxist, media as a tool to fulfill thernneeds and interests of the bourgeois.
