 <note>Issues of protection and environmental management and disaster is never going to run out to be discussed, because the problem of ecological crisis in Indonesia, especially West Java is still happening. Based on Article 14 of West Java Provincial Regulation no. 2 Year 2002 has arranged every regional development planning in the area designated  as  Geological  Nature  Reserve  Area,  Watercatchment  area  and  karst  area  must  get  geological consideration  from  related  Office.  But  until  now,  this  area  is  still  a  limestone  mining  area.  This  phenomenon becomes interesting to be studied more deeply from the side of environmental communication and policy. What is the policy of the Local Government regarding the protected area of Kars Citatah West Bandung regency, how the  government  communicates  the  Government  Regulation  regarding  Citatah  Citizen  as  a  Protected  Area,  the communication  pattern  of  Local  Government  policy  in  this  area,  and  evaluation  of  the  Local  Government's communication pattern in the implementation of the policy of Citatah Karst Protected Area. This research uses qualitative method with descriptive case study approach. The researchanalysis used is case study based on method, data,  and  source  triangulation.  The  result  of  the  research  shows  that  West  Bandung  Regency  Government  has issued Regent Regulation No. 7 Year 2010 about Protection of Pawon Cave Site Site and its Environment which is aimed to guard and protect and eliminate the destruction of natural resources, archaeological site in Citatah-Rajamandala topography area. In addition the West Bandung Regency Government through the Department of High Water Resources and Mining (DBMSDAP) West Bandung District has issued a ban on mining activities in seven points of Citatah Karst protected areas of Goa Pawon, Mount Masigit, Mount Pabeasan, and Mount Hawu, Gunung Karang Panganten and Manik Mountain.Keywords:Communications Policy, Environmental Communication, Karst Citatah, West Bandung regency, West Java</note>
